First, we help you determine what kind of boat you need. What suits your sailing habits, life situation and lifestyle.
Then, we assist you with the search and the decision-making process. We will personally inspect the boats you have in mind, and thoroughly check the promising ones, including measuring the hull's moisture content. We will create a list of maintenance and repair tasks that will be needed in the future.
After the purchase, we will prepare the boat so that you can take ownership as soon as possible.
This year, how many times do you think the phrase "It doesn't matter, we'll do it in the spring" was heard around the Balaton after zipping the winter covers? We work year-round, and in winter, we focus specifically on ensuring your boat is ready for the first moment of the season.
It's worth assessing the condition of the boat before the spring peak season and deciding on the tasks to be carried out in the upcoming season. Our condition assessment service is for those who like to keep their boats in good shape and want to avoid surprises. Torn halyards, flying wind indicators, ripped sails, crumbling winches and stoppers, malfunctioning water systems – most of these can be prevented.
The inspection covers the areas requested by the customer, and it is also influenced by how accessible the boat is during winter storage. If the boat is on land, it can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. For motors, we only check the basic functions, and in case of clear malfunctions, we help find a specialist.
The main focus of the inspection is the boat's standing and running rigging, fittings (stoppers, winches, cleats, furlers, etc.), sails, teak and other wooden surfaces, water system, faucets, windows, roll-ups, other canvas (lazy bag, sprayhood, bimini), electrical system, etc.
A report is prepared documenting the findings of the inspection, with photos. We will provide a quote for the necessary repairs. If you decide to order the suggested work, the cost of the condition assessment will be partially credited to the final invoice.
