A boat’s windows can become matted, crazed, and get an overall used, and worn-out appearance over time - and this is not the biggest concern, at this stage, a replacement is not necessary. Plexiglas sheets can also break for any number of reasons, leading to soaking. As well as the obvious, sudden impact breakage, there's the insidious factor of a gross difference between the thermal expansion of the plexiglass and the hull, which can require replacement of the plexiglass, for which our company offers a number of solutions.
In addition to the maze of marine instrumentation, there are two major issues that our customers often face: the installation or extension of a 230V electrical system for boats and the troubleshooting and repair of the ageing 12V network. Or as we say: every anchor light burns out from time to time.
Nowadays we are surrounded by all sorts of electronic equipment that requires regular recharging, and managing them all can be a real headache. One of the most obvious signs of this is the spider's web of extension cords on the pier. Anyone who has spent a night on a boat will be familiar with this phenomenon.
We offer the construction of a complete 230V network with any number of sockets, the modernisation of 12V systems up to marine standards. Inverter installation is also possible. A correct, safe and even on the way usable 230V internal network is an increasingly natural demand.
Regular cleaning and maintenance is the only way to preserve the colour and elegant appearance of a sailboat's wooden surfaces. Apart from regular and professional care, there is no need for more extensive treatment. However, if such delicate parts are left without care and maintenance for several years, they may require more specific methods to restore them to their original condition, such as sanding, planing, re-milling and, in the worst cases, partial or complete replacement.
The boat, both the cabin and the cockpit, becomes more livable thanks to custom, personalized solutions. Natural wood surfaces are a part of boats. However, they require at least minimal care and attention, and sometimes we also desire new functions.
Following traditional methods, almost anything can be solved with simple knots, off-the-shelf ropes, metal shackles, pulleys, and fixed diameter lines. But just because it’s possible doesn’t mean it’s the best or most efficient solution. In fact, quite the opposite!
Because sometimes weight does matter. Not compared to the boat’s 8 tons, but for example, relative to the weight of a light wind sail.
Because modern rigging techniques enable more flexible, faster, and more versatile trimming.
Because a spliced loop is simply more elegant and refined than a bulky knot.
It often happens that the exact item we need is simply unavailable. It might not fit, be at the wrong angle, or be too wide – the list could go on. The design of boats can vary drastically not only between manufacturers and models but also from one individual boat to another, each carrying the mark of its previous owners. We encounter many modifications that were made based on the subjective judgment of previous owners or their long years of experience filled with races.
So, let's not feel bad if we find that a different design would be more optimal for us!
