Because it's beautiful. Lake Balaton has a truly unique atmosphere at night! During the summer season you can swim and bathe at night.
You can gain useful sailing and navigation experience in the form of a training.

Sailing yacht or dinghy? Family road trip or go-karting? It's the same difference between sailing a keelboat and sailing a dinghy.
The experience? Huge. Will you get wet? Guaranteed. And you can even try hanging from the trapeze line!
If you are interested in sailing but want to gain some experience first, try a sailing dinghy. These small sailboats respond instantly to all your rudder movements and sail adjustments. They will reward you with an immediate increase in speed if you are right, and can even punish you with a capsize if you are wrong. It's all perfectly normal here, so there's nothing to worry about.
We may not be Olympians, but we love the water, where we chase adventures and want to share them with others.
Our training consists of a theoretical and practical part. First, we will try to convince you not to leave the marina in a storm, or if you are already on the water, to find a safe harbour immediately. Then, in the second part of the training, we will take you out on a boat to reinforce what you have learnt on the first part of the course.
All joking aside, we broadly follow the below topics in both theoretical and practical lessons.
Understanding the weather forecast, useful apps, specific weather around Lake Balaton, how to recognise ominous signs.
How to prepare your boat? Why do you need to think ahead? Why are those damn reefing lines so important? What are the crucial points when you need to act quickly?
The psychology of stress, or why you must never panic.
Course prices and dates depend on the number of applicants, and getting out on the water in the right weather requires flexibility on everyone's part.
We don't train for the official Water Rescue Manoeuvre exam and we don't make Olympians out of people. But at the intermediate level we welcome anyone who wants to learn and improve. We can also say that we specialise in the "post-licence" type of training.
These courses are completely personalised for each participant, depending on their existing knowledge and desired goals.
You can learn how a sailboat works, or we can work on fine-tuning the rigging. We can set sail in strong or light winds. We can sail on your boat or you are welcome on ours. We can help you if you want to do the maintenance on your own boat and you're not afraid to pick up the tools yourself.
For example, you want to install reefing lines but don't know how to do it. You're interested but have no experience. You're not familiar with the specific tools, materials and types of rope. After a personal consultation, we determine what type of rigging would be ideal for you and your boat. We will purchase the necessary components and ropes, arrange a date and do the work together. Meanwhile, we also talk about the whys and hows of the job.
